A LITTLE PLANNING. A LOT OF HAPPY MEMORIES.

You bought the perfect gift. Now, where did you put it?

A simple gift system that prevents duplicate buys and December detective work.

Festive wrapping paper, ribbons and Christmas gifts

Give each gift a home

Create one storage zone, then divide it by recipient or occasion. If a present must be hidden somewhere else, write down the exact location in your private gift list. “Upstairs” is not nearly as useful as “top shelf, blue storage box.”

Track the whole journey

Record the idea, recipient, cost and occasion. Move it from idea to bought, wrapped, and given as you go. If it is ordered but not delivered, keep the estimated arrival date in the notes and check it yourself.

Check before you shop

Open your gift list before buying another item. Review the total you have actually spent and the ideas you have not yet purchased. Small extras add up; include gift wrap and shipping in a separate expense entry.

Leave yourself a note

After giving the gift, record whether it suited the person. Keep this factual and kind. A preference for practical gifts or a favorite color is useful next year. Keep surprise details out of shared family documents.

Put a good idea into your next plan.

Keep the dates, the gifts, and the little details together.
