Make it, one step at a time.
Print and choose
Print the twelve activity cards. Cross out anything that does not fit your household and write your own alternative. No purchase is required to take part.
Match your energy
Put short activities on busy days. Save a craft for a day with more space. Leave several days empty rather than making the countdown a daily obligation.
Make a simple home
Number reused envelopes or fold the cards into a bowl. Keep the host planning sheet separately so adults can prepare the needed materials.
Offer choices
Let the group choose between two cards when possible. Drawing quietly, listening, or taking a break all count as participating on your own terms.
Keep the good bits
At the end, circle the three activities people would like to repeat. Put those cards away with the decorations and release the rest.
The simpler version
Pick just three cards for three weekends. A tradition does not have to happen every day.
A little help goes a long way
An adult handles scissors and checks that each chosen activity suits the participants. Avoid collecting children’s personal details or posting their answers publicly.
Before you begin
Do not promise a costly outing on a card unless it is already planned. Leave room for weather, tiredness, and changes of mind.
